History

UWC is privately owned and registered as a CIF (Cyprus Investment Firm) under registration number 230122, and licensed by the CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) with license number 093/08. The company’s registration and licensing complies with MiFID, the European Union legal framework that provides a harmonized regulatory regime for investment services across the 27 member states of the European Economic Area.

UWC is a member of the Investors’ Compensation Fund, which protects client assets in the event of company failure, and of professional bodies including the CIFSA (Cyprus International Financial Services Association), CCCI (Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry), CFSFA (Cyprus Financial Services Firms Association) and SWIFSA (Swiss International Financial Services Association).
